would you be mad if your boyfriend spent $400 on golf clubs?

my boyfrind and i want to get engaged soon and he keeps telling me that if he had the $ he would buy me a ring and ask..well yesterday he went and spent $400 on golf clubs (he already had them but are too long or something). we live together and it makes me so upset he can just go spend that much money on something like that when we are trying to save to buy a house and get married. am i wrong here?

A question about buying golf clubs?
