If you are willing to work on your game and can make consistent contact with the ball, I’d keep you on my team. For high school girls, many golf coaches (unless you go to a school with an outstanding girls golf program) are just looking for girls who have some experience with the sport. I hate having to start from scratch. Don’t EXPECT to play varsity in the very first match but definitely show the coach that you WANT to.

spend some time reading some of the tips on golf at the golf channels web site..I think if you go to your Yahoo and find sports and then find golf, there are lots of tips to become a better golfer and best of all it is FREE..then you can just look and practice what is there, I think even Natalie Gilbus(sp) has some tips for ladies( girls )…give it a try, it might be all you need to be even more competitive on the course

If you want to play better golf (including making the team) you had better take some lessons.. Lessons from a real pro not a friend. I guarantee that you will play better and you will make the team.. Also practice, practice, practice… I don’t mean go play a round of golf. I mean practice…. Good luck.. Grant from Pennsylvania

for chipping use a 7or 9 iron, a pitching wedge or sand wedge. a 5 will work but a 7 or 9 will get under the ball more wich will put it ^ and send it further
