Bought my first complete set at K Mart for $116.00 best thing I ever did.

It would be hard to find a set for $100.
You can get an 18 piece set from top-flite for about $300. They sound perfect for you if golf is just a recreational game for you.
You should be able to find them at
“XL 5000 Set” Top Flite.
Then again, you could always look at garage sales, you would find clubs pretty cheap there.

look at used clubs at your local golf store. Best chance to get quality at a discount. Ebay is a great avenue as well, but not if you don’t really know what you’re looking for.

Ebay is your best bet for that price, look for the brand Texan, they are ok for the money. you might find an ok set of clubs at a pawn shop or thrift store. you can likely get a used set of irons for that price easily, Hogan Edge irons are easy to get for $80 or so, and they are quality irons.
Online Golf Tips
find yourself a set of used clubs, my advice is to avoid any forged or blade style irons because they are more challenging to hit. If your just starting there is no need to get any “brand name” clubs. I also prefer steel shaft for the irons, and depending on the swing speed mine is fast choose a wood with an appropriate flex (I have x-stiff).

I suggest you have a set custom built to your height, but plan on spending about $200.00, and get a short set of Driver, 5W, 5I, 7I, 9I, PW, Putter.
If you like what you got, you can add more clubs to complete your set.
Go to.
This is the best component company out there (value wise), and you can have them build your set to the shaft lengths you need.
The price you pay for this custom set will be MUCH lower than Dick’s, Golfsmith, or any other retail place.
Now these clubheads won’t be “name-brand”, but you can order “name-brand shafts and grips, and pick any combination of colors you’d like. And Juniors typically like flashy colored shafts and grips. Probably better shafts and grips than you’d get with a purchased “name-brand” set.
And the quality, materials, and technology of these non-”name brand” clubheads is just as good as the “name brand” clubs.
The only exception: Driver and Putter. Component Irons, Wedges, Fairway Woods, Hybrid heads are just as good as name-brand.
But brand name putters and Drivers are “special”. Once you’ve got more experience and decided you want to play more golf, add an OEM dDriver and Putter.
And I follow my own advice.
My set:
Driver: Taylor Made Burner
3W, 5W: Component clubs with UST shafts
Hybrid: Component club w/ Grafalloy shaft
4I-9I,PW,SW = Component clubs w/ True Temper TX90 shafts
AW, LW = Component clubs w/ True Temper TX90 shafts
Putter: Odyssey White Hot XG 2-ball.
My handicap: 9.8

That may be a little difficult to do, here’s my two cents on it…
